Three cheers (and five stars) for this Kipling book What a pleasure to re-read Mowgli's adventures with friends and foes. Fie on those who remarked here they found the illustrations too graphic. I believe they are age appropriate for the seven-year-old who will receive this book on his birthday. I read it first to see if I thought there were . A sampling of jungle book stories I have never read The Jungle Book, only seen Disney's adaptation of it so I thought it would be fun to actually read the book before seeing the newest version of it on the movie screen.
