This book won't teach you to play fast or your favorite songs nor does it have repetitive exercises to learn and play.What it does have is theory of music as it relates to the guitar.Plain and simple.It you want to understand music theory look no further.Great for beginners to experts.But be warned, you will have to put in the time and effort to learn it. I keep going back to give it another chance over and over again, but each time I'm reminded why I gave up in the first place. It's extremely complicated, and I really don't believe this is a book for a beginner. I've been playing for about 5 years now, but only with tabs and figuring out some songs by ear. The information in this book to me is like trying to learn something that is in another langu
