PSH said Painfully turgid writing. Pictures are excellent, and the captions are very informative.As for the actual book, at first I thought it might have been a poor translation. Instead, it is written by somebody who has mistaken complex sentence construction for "deep thoughts". I'm an academic, and I have to read a lot of this sort of stuff for work, and I don't enjoy having to suffer through this for my recreational reading.
