P Farley said but this is an excellent starting. it helps tremendously having notes and context side by aide to the text. there's also a lengthy introduction about the story, language and Bard himself.If you're a beginner you will still have to put a lot of effort in, and you will likely need other resources as well, but this is an excellent starting text.
