Some of the illustrations have very small pieces to them. I would think colored pencils would be best for coloring in this Bible.. Love it! Finally an NIV coloring Bible! Love it!. Barbara Ray said Great illustrations but small type.. It's a beautiful Bible and the illustrations are great. You have to figure out the best media (i.e. markers, colored pencils) to use as there is some shadowing/bleeding through the pages. Text is a bit small but I don't plan to use it as a study Bible more as a "worship" through coloring Bible. I would recommend this to a friend or family member. There are lined sections on the outer edges for notes and the images to color are crisp.
