Decent book; poor Kindle version Amazon Customer The content of the book is pretty good. It's actually more about improvising theory than "exercises" as such, although they can be used as exercises. More of a quibble, that doesn't detract from the value of the content. These will probably improve your playing if you work at them. The part about modes and scales is actually quite good.The problem is that the. "Musical examples printed unusually small." according to Paul Nordquist. In the paper edition of this book, the musical exercises are smaller than in other Dummies music titles that I've used. This is not a fatal flaw, considering that these are practice exercises that you'll be playing many times through. If you don't mind taking time to lean close to the book to read and memorize an exercise before you start playing it the first.
