The book starts out discussing the early history of Chicago has a trading post in the 17th century. Next, the book described the difficulties the Native Americans had with white settlers. According to the book, there have been a number of strange creatures cited in and around Chicago such as a lake monster, the Mothman, the Devil Monkey, and Bigfoot.
