Not for young children H. Nicholls I bought this for my 7 year old. As it is a story for children, I was hoping it would be 'told' in a more straightforward way than it is. It is very much a Radio 4 play, not an audiobook. Some of the accents used are very thick (it is set in Yorkshire after all) and my children didn't know what was being said half the time so I had to explain what was going on - boring for all of us. For younger children I would recommend looking for a story which is read by someone, rather t. High-quality entertainment This is one of my least favorite of all the BBC Children's Classics radio dramatizations I have listened to. However, that isn't the fault of the BBC, but just that I didn't find the story all that engaging. The Secret Garden has the dubious distinction of being the only book I read in childhood that bored me so much I had to struggle and force myself to finish it. I purchased this audio version anyway because I have enjoyed all the other BBC Children's Classics so much, and
