Laurie E. Macdonald said Wow!. This is a phenomenal book for anyone who loves illuminated manuscripts. There is a history of the book and the context in which it was produced, along with black and white photos of contemporary illuminations. In addition, there are several full-color reproductions of this work.. a beautiful book Fred The book was expensive - BUT The book itself was a work of art - A VERY BEAUTIFUL FACSIMILE OF A BEAUTIFUL BOOK - The introductory essays were excellent particularly with the addition of black and white reproductions from other Book of Hours .
