"practical, but also very close minded" according to Amazon Customer. I liked the book. However, some of the advice in it seemed like it was talking at you instead of helping you learn to think like it wanted you to. Also, the idea that someone has a drawer full of "supplies" will be considered a go getter girl wasn't exactly what i was looking for. I was looking for a better way to think positively and help work on things like help with fashion and those ideas i didn't seem to find in here. I do like some of the practical aspects when dealing with people's perceptions etc.. Wonderful guide for work and life I bought this book as I was preparing to start a new job and I'm so glad that I did! All of the advice Debra Shigley offers is down to earth and practical enough to remember and use every day. "Twenty-One Pieces of Office Attire Every GGG Needs in Her Closet" - my new job was a promotion and the thing that worried me most about it was how I should dress. This was my shopping list, and it helped me to buy everything I needed for my new position.
