The "Advanced" Guitarist. Reading the Kindle sample and table of contents, I thought it would help me with mastery of the instrument. But once I got past the "unitar" exercises, it turned out to be a textbook for modal improvisation. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it wasn't the boost I need right now. You need to have an understanding of music theory before you pick this book up or be willing to learn some as you work through this. He immediately goes into modes with no explanation of mode theory. With that said, it will make you think and begin to explore the fingerboard like you never have. If you want to challenge your current level of playing and creativity, get this book. It will stay in my library with just a couple of other books and will be used the rest of my guitar playing days. I .
