Laker said Good but Falls Short. Overall I enjoyed this book and found it to be fast moving and generally well crafted. I also enjoyed the Jordan Sandor character although I think the author has him doing too much and not relying enough on other characters. However my enjoyment was cut short by two major errors. First, the author seems to think Iranians are Arabs, they are not. The Iranians have their own long history and culture, they speak Farsi not Arabic. For an author trying to compete with Vince Flynn and Tom Clancy, this error is unforgivable. It shows an ignorance of the middle east on the part of the author and demonstrates why all autho. Great story, even better hero Stephens has a great character flowing from his pen who is bound to arrive on the big screen in no time. Jordan Sandor is one of those rare leading men that combine straight shooting (literally and figuratively), sex appeal, and a sharp sense of humor. In addition to Jordan's throwback, universal appeal, Targets of Opportunity is filled with other colorful characters that create a dynamic battle between goodpretty badand pure evil. Stephens does a tremendous job developing each character by giving them an identity and having them fulfill a role in what becomes an incredibly fun, unexpected thriller that covers mul.
