DESCRIPTION:

Sadly, this mind-set always leads to guilt, pain, and heartache. Our world constantly tells us to "do what feels good," especially when it comes to issues related to sexuality. Pointing readers to the grace of Jesus Christ, longtime counselor and teacher David Powlison offers hope for both the sexually immoral and the sexually victimized: all brokenness will one day be transformed. This book casts a vision for restoration that is better than what the world offers—not just fresh resolve, not just flimsy forgiveness, but true, lasting mercy from God, who is making all things new.. And yet, in the gospel, there is good news for the sexually broken

This topic is much for one (very short) book, and much to include both issues. But I think this book proves to be a great starting point for anyone struggling with sin.David Powlison is a teacher and counselor. He had compassion, intelligence, and candor that should help just about anyone who i. "A tender and understanding guide to sex as God means it to be" according to Neal Reynolds. Crossway has long been one of my favorite Christian publishers. Their books have depth and probe theological issues. This volume is no exception. The author, David Powlison, treats the subject of sexual sin with sound Biblical understanding. Sex itself is not condemned here. Sex as God intended it is indeed beautiful. However, mankind (and womankind) has perverted it and made it something ugly and totally against God's intentions. Many subjects are treated here including promiscuity, pornography, masturbation

He is also the senior editor of the Journal of Biblical Counseling and the author of Seeing with New EyesGood and Angry, and Speaking Truth in Love.. David Powlison (MDiv, Westminster Theological Seminary) is a teacher, a counselor, and the executive director of the Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation
