Despite a worsening strategic situation both on the Eastern Front and in the West, Hitler’s Panzers and their highly motivated crews showed superior tactical abilities and killing power abut such was the overall picture that this was not enough to alter the course of the war as the Allies closed remorselessly in on Berlin.Covered in this superb book are many variants, some well known and others less so including often modified, up-armoured and up-gunned models

"Mistitled--all sorts of panzers" according to Thomas Reiter. Not a bad book if you are looking for a cheap kindle book with lots of photos of panzers, but there is not much meat herelots of pictures, but:1) hardly any text other than not-especially insightful captions for the photos;2) while entitled "Hitler's Heavy Panzers" the book in fact covers everything (in terms of at least a few pictures) from King Tigers to Tigers to Panthers, to Pzkw IVs, to Stugs, to Hetzers, etc., not all of which I would consider heavy panzers.Mistitled--all sorts of panzers Not a bad book if you are looking for a cheap kindle book with lots of photos of panzers, but there is not much meat herelots of pictures, but:1) hardly any text other than not-especially insightful captions for the photos;2) while entitled "Hitler's Heavy Panzers" the book in fact covers everything (in terms of at least a few pictures) from King Tigers to Tigers to Panthers, to Pzkw IVs, to Stugs, to Hetzers, etc., not all of which I would consider heavy panzers.3) Most of the pics are from the Eastern Fron. ) Most of the pics are from the Eastern Fron.
