Full of well-known platitudes David J Brumley I'm running a startup, and was excited to see a new addition of project management from HBR. Boy was I disappointed at the quality of information in this book. I've seen better blogs. The book is just a collection of well-known axioms, like identify stake-holders and make sure you have regular meetings. I don't think you need to go to Harvard to have such common sense. I picked a random place in the book, and here is a sample (inane quote):"“A project’s purpose is the general benefit it will provide to the organization,” explains Alex Walton, a Flori. "Great Book to for understanding Project Managment" according to Landon Self. I was given this book to read as a Product Engineer and soon after began to operate as engineering manager. The content in this book is easy to understand will be greatly beneficial to anyone needing assistance in managing budgets, time, and most importantly people.WORTH IT!. "My team at work used this as a book study" according to Nathan Henrion. My team at work used this as a book study. Its geared for higher level, large scale project management, but we found some basic tools to help with day to day routine tasks as well.
