The idea of these books is great, but they need to make the book longer with more of a plot so that children have time to get into the adventure and learn the information.. Content Heavy but Picture-Book Supported My students absolutely love the comic strip approach because as 3rd graders they are moving from learning-to-read to reading-to-learn which means they still rely heavily on pictures but need more content to not baby them.
