Incredibly thorough and helpful forster I bought this because my boyfriend made me the gift of a violin for Christmas. My main instrument is the piano so I had no idea what I was doing with such a beautiful instrument. This book is a great starting point for musician as well as those who have never touched an instrument. It's better than most books It seemed so "right" at first but later I'm having the same problems with playing vibrato and positions as always. It's better than most books I'm still of the opinion that like a language study, there isn't any substitute for a good teacher. Charles Lanier said Easy to understand.
