After reading this book, I realize how awful Japanese POW camps were. To the many school districts who want to downplay some of our history's atrocities, you will be doing your students and the men and women who lived through thes. Amazing! RG Bud Phelps Unbroken is definitely an amazing story that was difficult for me to read. I think it was probably equally as difficult for Aaron to share it with us. It is necessary for us to read about these atrocities so that we can honor the ones that didn't make it back home as well as the ones like Aaron that did. It is very hard to understand the depth of cruelty related in this story from another human being. If you are reading this review, believe me when I tell you how important it is for us to never forget. So, read this book to show that we honor Aar. mary abbott said extremely well written.
