"True Faith and Allegiance" according to Patricia A Byers. I bought this book with some misgivings,I have read every Jack Ryan book written. I did not want to be disappointed with the author change. I must now apologize to Mark Greaney for my doubts. This book was every bit as good as all the rest of the series. I loved the fact that we have many playe. Also like Clancy, Greaney has managed to give us a I don't know how Mark Greaney manages to nail Clancy's style and ability, but he has certainly done it in this novel. It starts off kind of slow - made me hope that didn't last - and it didn't. Stick with it because after the first few chapters, it's a page turner for sure. Also like Clancy, Gr. Good story but lacks the "you are there" feeling that the older novels Clancy provided. Amazon Customer Greaney is a fine author, but it seems the ability to connect the reader to the characters isn't quite there. I would recommend this installment to a Clancy fan but go in knowing that Jack Jr will never connect with the average reader as Jack Sr did during his rise up the political ladder.
