Women are often in a state of deniala pattern of "this can't be happening" that they are frozen and unable to react once their spouse has fallen into hate.. Dull as dishwater. I suppose the U.K. has a dearth of interesting murder cases. That the author got an entire book out of what would be a two day local news stories in the U.S is amazing. This book has no "hook" at all. The parties involved are unattractive and dull (Google the photos). A run of the mill spousal murder. Tragic for the families involved, but a crashing bore for the reader.. Decent read As a person who doesn't read often, I can say this book did not draw me into it. I went a few lengthy periods without reading it. Nothing made me want to resume reading it except boredom. For .99 though it's not bad. However it did read easily.
