Creative book. I loved reading about the first half of the book which gets into amazing, little known details of nature. The second half focuses on cultural aspects of flowerspaintings, music, etc. I am more into the botanical part and not so much the cultural part, and to tell you the truth, I never finished reading it. It is a good book and more a case of how well it matches your interests.. This is a charming book – and his enthusiasm for flowers shines on every page. I had to read my copy first of course but I will give another as a gift to a gardening enthusiast who has so far shown less enthusiasm for the science
