Not for kids, but fun, quick read Debbie While this is a real life story made into a "Christmas parable," it's not a story for kids. He tells other stories besides the Christmas tree one, and these involve things like a strip club shaped like breasts and two women who work there. The main story was about the family buying a crooked tree, his efforts to make it stand straight, decorating it, etc. He gives the tree a personality rather than having it as a normal tree. Damian Chandler is a unique writer in a good sense he takes what I would called the Charlie Brown tree which is all out of whack in his eyes but in the eyes of his children the tree is beautiful as is. He spends time trying to get the tree to stand up as straight which simply does not happen. The tree is decorated and is beautiful in the eyes of his family. The bottom line is Sometimes all of us forget to Thankful that Jesus loves us even when we are out of whack! I highly recommend this
