Oswald Sander’s Spiritual Leadership it is fascinating that the Lord brought me to a conversation that contained the usual perception about church leadership. Earlier in the evening a gentleman had expressed interest in being a pastor and then over dinner reiterated that when talk turned to his current work. He expressed a displeasure in his current vocation and so when I asked what type of work he would like, he indicated that in reality he doesn’t like to work which is why being a pastor interested him.Unfortunately spiritual leadership is often thought of in this way. Some things seem a little bit off though Yet overall - I, and the others who went through this book together - enjoyed this study. Note: the end of chapter questions were written by the editor or others, seemingly not by the original author. At times, there seems to be a slight disconnect between the chapter topics and the review questions. Also, you may get more out of this book by going through it in a group study rather than by yourself. The topics and end of chapter questions are good for group discussion.. Oldie but a Goodie. Here is a classic but a very solid classic. I enjoyed taking a few teams through this book and actually am making this one of the required readings in our Church Leadership Pipeline.A few chapters in this book will get you to examining your own leadership and challenge you in how well you are really doing.This is a must read!
