Vernon Fuestonv I read this after taking a course on medieval history because it was mentioned, expecting to suffer through it. It was wonderfully descriptive. Be prepared to get caught up in what once was the rage of Europe, chivalric romance, as long as you will allow yourself to go with the flow and slip back 700 years to another time and another way of thinking and living. Tough reading for those who have not flexed their literary muscles on Shakespeare, etc, but not impossible.. "One of my favs" according to Caitlin. Gawain and the Green Knight is one of my favorite Arthurian Legends. This version has Middle English and Modern English translations side-by-side, which is loads of fun to follow. Let's just say this copy is well read.
