A Rambling Conversation about Sega in the 1990s Sam Walker If you are expecting a well sourced, footnoted history book with quotations and one you can cite with confidence, this is not it. If you want to iimagine a friendly and knowledgeable friend chatting to you up about Sega in the 1990s, going back and forth, offering opinions as fact, sometimes misspeaking or getting information wrong, overly focusing on recent events, being contradictory sometimes in the same breaththen this is the book for you. Its less authoritative history and more like telling a familiar story with liberties.In a book about 480 pages long, it . good book,worth a read if you like games,sega or reading about the downfall of arrogant people This book is about the company Sega, a video game maker that once challenged nintendo for market dominance back in the 8and 16 bit generations.Sega was once a prolific console maker that was also a powerhouse in the arcade scene and also could considered to be one of those more innovative companies.For the pros this is a good book that covers a great deal of information.It has some information that a long term so ha fan like myself has never heard of before. About a year ago I wrote a review of the original un-enhanced version of this book. I lamented that it was just a reposting of the original SegaBase articles with many glaring issues. I hadn't noticed the release of the updated version but as soon as I did today I snatched it up and am not disappointed one bit. Brining the format in line with a real finished book is a fantastic and fitting service to the original scripts and the editing and correction of old errors makes it almost a whole new story to read.
