DESCRIPTION:
Five Stars Awesome.. "A must for lovers of Reformed theology!" according to Brian Davilla. Michael Horton's theological brilliance again comes through in his latest work, Rediscivering the Holy Spirit. Dr. Horton's gifts are again on display just as they were in his systematic theology. Highly recommended reading.I again had to laugh st the above critique who from someone who regularly labels Horton's work, "mud". This guy obviously has an axe to grind as he seems obsessed with attacking perceived political correctness His extreme attitudes are i. "SOLID REFORMED THEOLOGY MUDDLED" according to Pastor. Michael Horton's book on the Holy Spirit is poorly outlined, poorly structured, and miserable reading. Like his Systematic Theology, it is a pile of mud. The Holy Spirit is the person of the Trinity who brings the work of the Father, in the Son, to completion. For the Spirit, being somewhat forgotten is an occupational hazard. Just as we take breathing for granted, we can take the Holy Spirit for granted simply because we constantly depend on him. Yet the Spirit is at the center of the action in the divine drama, from Genesis 1:2 all the way to Revelation 22:17. In Rediscovering the Holy Spirit, author, pastor, and theologian Mike Horton introduces listeners to the neglected person of the Holy Spirit, showing that the work of God's Spirit is far more ordinary and common than we realize. Like the cane that soon feels like
