DESCRIPTION:

What's up Clive? I have read every book Clive Cussler has ever published. I am beginning to wonder who actually writes these lately. It sure does not sound like good old Clive. I thought this story, through chapter 11 was quite one dimensional, and the characters very predictable. The style of writing almost brought Dick and Jane to mind. Very simplistic. These used to be exciting stories which one could not put down, this one, I did put down never to be opened by me again. I will likely give it to someone for Christmas. Some times I get the feeling that a machine might be writing. Tedious and confusing Dyer brook I have read every Clive Cussler book , except only 1 of the Fargo series which are full of page filling garbage and very little story . This is one book, 2 separate stories, hard to keep it straight in my head, Russian agents, anti-Russian groups, Bulgarian cops, Dirk in one story, his kids in another and they never merge into one. This is without question the worst CC book that I have ever read, May be time for him to retire!. "Great story in the Clive Cussler Tradition!" according to Eric C. Anderson. I don't think I have ever read a Clive Cussler novel I did not like! And of course, Clive shows up in the story somewhere! Now, I can recognize him before it becomes clear. The story has lots of twists and turns, and of course lots of heroic acts by Pitt and friends (of course!)If you love Cussler, you will also love this book!

Over the years Dirk Pitt has always had a knack for finding trouble. The three of them are used to perilous situations - but this time they may have found their match. This time it has found him.The extraordinary new novel from the grand master of adventure and number-one New York Times best-selling author. Just dead bodies, a smell of sulfur in the air, and, as Pitt and Giordino explore, a blast from the stern that scuttles the ship swiftly, almost taking them with it. His two children, marine engineer Dirk and oceanographer Summer, are exploring a mysterious shipwreck of their own when they are catapulted into his orbit. Filled with breathtaking suspense and remarkable imagination,
