looking for a good, rich series to start? This ain't it. Don't waste your time and money. I am just 80% into this book and I cannot stomach anymore of the constant, badly written sexual content, not to mention the predictable, sophomoric plot. This makes Twilight, which I actually could enjoy enough seem like classic literature. I have read literally hundreds of books in the fantasy/paranormal genre, but I will not finish this one, let alone the other-what 20?-books in this series. I am so bored by this one, I have no desire to try the others. Meh. A Man with No Soul & A Woman Denying her Heritage = A Page Burner! It's been just long enough since I first read the Dark-Hunters in paperback for me to really enjoy playing with these gorgeous badboys again. Kenyon does a fantastic job setting up an imaginative world where one can run into Dark Hunters, Were Hunters, Dream Hunters, soul-sucking demons, and such on any given night. With a foundation seeped in Greek Mythology, many of the characters step into the modern world carrying a lot of hurt & emotional baggage with the scars to prove it. The story opens with Kyrian of Thrace, a Dark Hunter, awakening t. Still As Good As Ever I've read this series numerous times and still get a rush! This had been the first alternate explanation for Vampires and caused my wonder of all things New Orleans. It made me scour the shops for Cafè du Monde coffee and ask anyone going to Louisiana to bring me some. I can picture the Quarters and the Garden District. The Antebellum homes and the Bayou.
