I never learned much about chemistry in school, but this book helped me understand it better. It presents various molecules, then presents how those molecules were the most influential molecules in world history. As a Chemistry teacher I got this thinking it might be a way to get my students interested. It is a good book, interlaced with science, humor and history. Best way to describe it is as a dense text, best taken in small doses and chewed on for a while.
