I first became aware of Mr. Nicoletta’s work when I saw his most famous image, that of Harvey Milk with that great smile and necktie flapping, in a photo exhibit in a gay bar here in Atlanta—it had . Dee-Dee Stout said Delish!. Gorgeous photos shot by an absolute expert eye transport you right into the scene that was the delicious insanity of 1970's and beyond SF in the Castro! While I was lucky enough to witness some of this, I wish I had moved to SF at 18 myself to work alongside Dan at the Castro Camera Shop. This opus showing us so much of the crescendo of the Queer Rights movement explodes on each page in marvelous detail and with loving tenderness.
