My grandson had this book for his social studies class and I read a chapter while he was visiting. It was not the stuffy history books I remember from school days. I ordered it and have been enjoying a different type of history book . A great companion to "Lies My Teacher Told Me Constant Reader History from the library ser's point of view. Well researched and engrossing to read. A great companion to "Lies My Teacher Told Me." I used this book when Intaught history in high school. Mentioned in "God d Will Hnting" and "The Sopranos." Great for covering social history for the US H. PC said A must read.. History is usually written by the victors - this is a wonderful account from the perspective of those on the receiving end of antisocial behavior from the nation's inception. I hope we can learn and adapt as a people, but if the past is any indication, we're in for more of the same.
