Audrey Anderson said Mary you're being contrary - hurrah!. This installment featured Mary, who is my favorite of Rosato & Associates. She is thrown into a situation where she is representing one of the 'mean girls' from her high school days and she comes with her crew. We find out that the mean girl wants to get away from her long time boyfriend who is abusing her but can't just leave as he is tied to the mob and will find her. Turns out Mary dated him for a while in high school and tutored him. She is sure he. DiNunzio and Rosato. Mary finally had the nerve to imagine "DiNunzio and Rosato", instead of Rosato and Associates. Mary is too emotional and quick to take sides while Bennie is too pedantic. But together, they get things done. ( of course with help from Judy and Anne.) The writing is excellent and Ms Scottoline's sense of humor delightful. I have enjoyed all her books.. "Another winning novel." according to Anne Doyon. I'm hooked on Lisa Scottoline's writing style. She makes the characters so real that it's tough to not think about what happens in their lives long after you've finished the book. Another page turner that will keep you reading late into the night.
