Not what I expected. Amazon Customer I want to learn how to play gospel music. This book is for beginners who never took piano lessons. I can read music. I want to learn how to dothe runs, improvise, etc. I am a beginner as far as gospel is concerned. This book can't help me. I would like a more advanced book.. "This dude can teach" according to Gentleman of the Road. Author has a good teaching style and the book is written in laid back informal English so you don't get a headache from reading dry music theory. And if you can't read music don't worry because you will learn that along the way in this book.. You really want the CD Rose C. Henderson The book is OK and simply written on it's own but there are a lot of "holes in the flow that would incorporate the CD. If you don't have the CD, the flow is kind of disjointed and incomplete.
