It's my favorite book on music theory by far kelly w rose Outstanding Book, I was scared to death that I was going to buy a $100 book and end up with $10 worth of content. It's my favorite bookon music theory by far. However, not a reflection on this book, but if you're completely new to music theory start out with the most basic bookyou can and work your way up to this one.. "Some brilliant learning tools here" according to Mother Hen. An essential Bible for all things songwriting. Some brilliant learning tools here. A lot of stuff way over my head. Worth owning, though. How Music Reall Works mr steven thompson This is a big book and there is a lot of hard reading, especially for me as I am Dyslexic but wow, it really does get down to the nitty gritty of the subject. I'm an average singer songwriter and I'm used to working with good musicians and we've turned some reasonable stuff but now I've decided to try and understand the musical side myself and try and right great songs in a different genre.
