Teenage girls don't believe in fairy tales, and 16-year-old Elena Watkins was no different - until the night a fairy tale killed her father. Right. Now Elena's in a new world and a new school. Teenage girls don't believe in fairy tales. The cutest guy around may be an evil dragon, a prince wants Elena's heart, and a long-dead sorcerer may be waking up to kill her. Oh, and the only way Elena's going to graduate is on the back of a dragon of her own. Dragons. Now it's time for Elena to believe - in herself.
Directed to the wrong audience I'm conflicted with this book. In the beginning and in several other parts it's exciting and a somewhat fun read. In general it's an interesting idea behind the plot. However, I feel like it doesn't really follow a clear storyline and at many points I got bored in the story. The majority of the story is about life in school and classes. There are innuendos that she there is something special about her as well. We do not find this out in this book. The . "Predictable girl loves a dragon tale." according to crpgnut. Average first book that I got through Kindle Unlimited. This is 95% teen romance and 5% fantasy. Perfect for naive or innocent teen girls to read and lighter fluff for the rest of us. I'd probably read more of the books if they were in KU, but they're not, so I'll stop with this one. Very predictable all the way through, which still doesn't make it bad. Not going to pay $5 for each followup though. Too many books of similar or better quality in KU.The whole story revolves around a "supposedly" normal American girl who travels to Dragonland when tragedy strikes. It is all about her adapting at drag
