Streamlined Position Training Marilyn SP I have recently started using this book for position training in place of commonly used materials. It presents position in a lucid and straightforward manner and quickly guides the student into shifting between positions in a practical manner. Best of all, it includes 2nd position and includes exercises for shifting between the first 3 positions. I call it "Whistler Lite", and while I can't yet determ. "Nice book!" according to Asian Mix. This book is half the price of other beginner violin books and way more professional. Not sure why i purchased the other one that was all paper, no glossy cover beacuse i used these types of books in high school.. Third book for strings This book is great for beg/interm who want to continue advancing in the violin.It is so easy to learn from this book.I have tried other books but they seem too complicated and I cant tell what Im supposed to learn.In this book they teach you third position, the remaining major scales from the second book and rhythm.Awesome book.
