Great intro to horse shapes. For kids AND adults. Great book, even for adults, for getting the basic shapes of horses. Once you learn the basics shapes you will want something a bit more advanced like the Leonardo collection Horse book, but go through this one else first if you've never drawn a horse before!. "really well because I'm terrible at drawing horses without it and I love it" according to Ariana. Here's a review from my 9 year old daughter, who the book was purchased for:It helps me draw horses really, really, really, really well because I'm terrible at drawing horses without it and I love it so much.. "For Beginners Only" according to jam. This is fine for the beginner artist, and helps clarify a few details for someone a bit further along. However, rather than concentrating on showing how the muscle and bone structure 'moves' during walking, jumping, rearing, etc., it concentrates on a few breeds and their differences to each other, making this not terribly appropriate for a more advanced artist.
