She's back!!!! Although I have enjoyed the last few books; there seemed to be something missing. But not today!! This book was delightful and contained the depth and romance that seemed to be missing in previous novels. This book reminds me of why I got hooked on the Dark Hunters series all those years ago. The last few books were okay; but this book was great.. Still Making Up My Mind I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this book. I think I enjoyed it, but definitely didn’t fall in love with it. The first book in a new series is always hard because there’s so much to introduce. My head got a little dizzy with all of the different characters and their backgrounds, on top of a lot of uncommon names and references that you had to put in effort to process, but since I assume that they will continue to make appearances in future books, there was a purpose for the introduction and I’ll eventually get everything straight. A HUGE annoyance for me was that the ma. Missed the mark. I've been a fan of Kenyon's for years, so I was excited to start a new series of hers.Simply put, this book was a struggle for me to finish. I felt as though the story was overdeveloped in some areas and underdeveloped in others- particularly in the romance. I didn't find the style as engaging as books from her earlier years, which made me care a lot less about the characters. In terms of organization, the book just seemed to jump around without purpose.
