"A REAL DISAPPOINTMENT!" according to Jack in Houston. This book isn't even close to what I expect from James Patterson, and I've read most of his adult titles. The dialogue is forced and redundant. The multiple plots are not developed nor are they resolved. And when I turned the page and saw Epilogue, I felt like I had missed about 50 pages of the story somehow. If this was a marketing ploy to make me want to buy the next book in the series, forget it! I'll spend my time and money on other authors.. "So sad it's so bad" according to Selma Sue. I have loved every book with James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge but this one was like a fifth grader wrote it. It just rambled on and on and when it got to be where something could or should of developed they left the subject as it meant nothing to story. Characters where named but they never became any thing to do with the story or the plot. I'm sorry I wasted my time and money on this book. Terry B said it just stopped like the writers' computer broke and they said. I am a Michael Bennett book FAN, but I wanted to "Burn" this book when I got to the end because there was NO end. It just stopped. It wasn't a cliffhanger, it just stopped like the writers' computer broke and they said, "oh well, we'll just send in the manuscript anyway"! Sheesh. I kept thinking I had missed some pages or something. The story was going along fine. I liked how the new gang was developing under Mike's leadership. James Patterson, your name is on this book. Don't let this happen again, please. A VERY VERY disappointed reader.

He is the author of the Alex Cross novels, the most popular detective series of the past twenty-five years, including Kiss th

But when a charred body is found in that very same building, he is forced to take the demented caller seriously--and is drawn into an underground criminal world of terrifying depravity.. With no clear crime or evidence, Bennett dismisses the report. Back in the city that never sleeps, Bennett takes over a chaotic Outreach Squad in Harlem, where he receives an unusual call: a man claims to have seen a group of well-dressed men holding a bizarre party in a condemend building
