"TYPICAL BLACKMORE GOREFEST-EXCELLENT!" according to Dr. No can do. Typical Blackmore; tons of hard core, super realistic action scenes, followed by some meandering, and ending with bloody resolutions.For those who have read Mr. Blackmore's opus about 'Gus' in the Mountain series, this is typical fare. However, the series is somewhat uneven and there are some serious plot holes with this installment.On the whole, if you like Blackmore's style, you'll be satisfied with this story (notwithstanding his habit of wandering off the reservation regarding the plot). No other writer does fight scenes in such a brutally realistic/gory manner. If detailed accounts of ears getting . John Aspinall said Hit the Mark.. Keith is one of my all time favorite authors, was enthralled with the MM series and this series did not disappoint. Thought the characters were great and the storyline was full on, only downside from a purely selfish point of view is that they are not long enough (series wise), but I suppose when you tell a story as well as Keith does then I understand when you leave the reader wanting more but finish on a high.Another feather in your cap Mr Blackmore, well done my friend..
