Wow! What a great book! I bought this book as an art reference book and it serves that purpose very well. It's packed with very well done watercolor sketches of plants, fruits and vegetables. There are color swatches and lots of margin notes from the artist, Mary Ann Scott. I've already gotten a lot of great a. Cheryl Stevenson said Look over the shoulder at a studen the master teacher's progress through learning Botanical Illustration. While not the "how-to" I expected, for someone interested in Botannical watercolor or drawing, this books opens up in detail the kind of learning required as you follow both student and master through her work as she progresses through the two year course and critiques of her kind-heart
