Excellent 2nd bass learning book theRangel I come to bass from a guitar background and wanted to jump right in. I have the benefit of knowing the fretboard already and how to read music. This book is really a load of fun. All the 5 stars this book has on Amazon are well deserved.I'm working with an instructor and using this book as a framework for my lessons. He's enhancing the experience but this book is so well written that I prob. don't need the instructor until I'm done. I'm racing through it having a lot of fun. Great bass lines to the greates. This is the perfect book for me - the songs are for the most part quite manageable and with a good amount of practice, have brought my playing up to a satisfactory level. There's nothing too hard in here, and once you get through the instructional stuff there are a good number of blues standards to keep you busy.
