And that bodyguard just happens to be the very male t. Just okay. RomanceReader I have to agree with some other reviews. This one was, in the end, boring. Just didn't get my "blood" flowing. I'm a huge fan of all her books but this one left me with "yeah, okay, great" Can we move on now? Did we really need another whole book on Rhage/Mary and Bitty? The uncle could have been introduced quickly and with less long-winded explanation. I'm anxiously waiting for "The Chosen" because the story of Layla and Xcor is much more fascinating. But I do realize that these "accessory" books are needed and they do move other plot lines along but, as I said, this was kinda. "Ok, but not up to her other books." according to BakeryGirl. It was okbut felt rushed, with no depth. Axe went from dark and dangerous to a lovesick puppy, the other characters were annoying and shallow. It seemed like more of a teenagers book, even with the Rhage and Mary sections. I hope the one due out in April (I think?) gets back to her original style.
