For the price, you would be losing mon. The Library Editions are definitely the way to go! The library editions are the way to go for these Avatar additions! These books are hard cover with a mix of matte and glossy finish. They're all larger books (think the size of a game guide.) The art inside is top notch (as expected) and includes some thoughts from the creators on the side panels. The back includes step by step process art for characters and cover art.Smoke and Shadow, specifically, focuses on Zuko after he has become emperor and the rising tensions between the fire nation proper and long conquered fire na. "It's okayhowever." according to LDSai. From a fan of the Avatar: The Last Airbender series, I was excited to get this book. This story, was okay but it has it problems. The art is good considering it comparison with the series. That I feel is where it goes downhill real fast.The characters were out of character. One point is that I felt that Zuko was going backwards from what the purpose of the second and third season of the show was focusing. I would have preferred a comic about Zuko finally finding his mother. That was the main issue I had. The other was the
