However, the purpose of this book is to guide the reader through a series of painting steps, using similar elements that Jane Maday uses in her own work. I emphasize that the book is to be used as a guide. Its intention is not to teach the reader to copy.Part of successful drawing and painting is using proper tools. Jane explains the aspects of various types of acrylic and water color paints. She points out the value of the different types of brush.
