I have quite a bit of experience already, but found this a valuable read and will be keeping it in my office for reference in the future. I found that sometimes it seemed like they went over the same material multiple times. I think they could have streamlined it honestly, but that's ok. Maybe that is more helpful for a beginner.I actually haven't been able to keep this in my office. One of the manufacturing engineers that reports to me has been reading it during lunches. We are also planning a VS mapping event soon so the plant manager borrowed it earlier this week to copy the symbols so we co. "Good primer" according to Lawrence E Whitman. I use this book in my lean manufacturing class. It has good practical examples and a useful method for doing lean using the value stream mapping approach. I highly receommend this book for the first timers. I think someone who has no experience could get started using this book.. great condition. CD was missing. But other than that, great condition.
