Beneficial but not sufficient for passing CSSBB Timothy H. Cheng Like many other folks, I recommend getting the Quality Council of Indiana CSSBB Primer if you want to pass the test. Primer does a much better and thorough job teaching challenging statistical concepts and calculations. That said, this books is was definitely beneficial for me in passing the CSSBB Exam:1) Good test reference - unlike the primer had a decent glossary useful for exam2) Does explain SIMPLER conc. "Defective Product" according to Amazon Fan. This has to be the worst "instructional" book that I have ever purchased in my entire life. The way it explains things, wait that's too positive, the truth is that it doesn't explain anything; no explanation of theory, no thoughtful exploration of concepts, and a complete lack of clarity when the authors are attempting to explain something. It's as if the authors took a bunch of random information and graphs . Good study companion, not good test companion Do not buy this book as your go-to source for the ASQ Black Belt exam. As others have said, I too found this book to have numerous calculation gaffs, which makes it hard to know if you understand the concepts, b/c you can't verify your answers. Added to this complaint is the fact that the book is not the easiest to understand. The language is overly complex, and the examples (especially calculations) are not
