Getting kids to read music vocally. Let's all do it !! A simple book to get my private piano students reading vocally. Being reproducible is huge for us. Thanks.. Choral teachers: Take notice After searching for a sight singing book I decided to use this one. It begins easy and gradually becomes more difficult. I am using it with my high school choir but it could be used in the middle grades if you are serious enough about wanting the singers to sight read. I had no serious "I hate this" from any of themalthough it's not their favorite part of choir. I use it as part of my warm ups. There is also a follow up book to this series and a teachers' guide.. HP said Superb!. Absolutely excellent. I'm using it with my middle school students and they're learning a lot. They're even -gasp- enjoying it! It's very sequential and begins with rhythm, then applies the rhythm to solfege examples. Kudos to Andy Beck!
