Rebecca Petrella said Best Improvement Tool I Have Ever Used. I have been working in health care continuous quality improvement (CQI) for more than 15 years and I never realized that while I was trying to make my reporting faster, more accurate, and better, I was using the principles of Lean. When I read your book (Lean Six Sigma Demystified) and watched your videos online, it all clicked! I got it! You were the author of my “Aha! Moment”. From the moment I started reading the book and watching the videos, all of the things you said made perfect sense to me – they just immediately “clicked” in my brain! It was amazing and so in. Well worth the price. As a member of a team implementing lean and six sigma I researched many books before settling on this one. The first two chapters are worth the price of the whole book. If you aren't fired up and ready to go after reading them then you just don't care about your job. My only problem with the book is that the author uses it to push his Excel software for data analysis. This wouldn't be such a big deal, except it's done to the detriment of actually explaining the math and the basics underlying the charts. But, if you really want to know what the software is doing, you can look up the various charts. "I cannot recommend this book" according to Brian M.. You want an 80/20 pareto on this book? It spends 80% of its time telling you WHY you should use this methodology and 20% on the how. I cannot recommend this book, although Jay Arthur obviously knows what he is talking about, but it feels like an infomercial, where he hits you over the head with HOW BADLY you need this product.

Clear examples, helpful diagrams, and concise explanations make it easy to understand the material, and end-of-chapter quizzes and a final exam reinforce key concepts.
