It wasn't exactly what I was looking for but this book really is what the cover says it is, charts, charts, and more charts.. It's a good book on chart statistics and charting for medium to It's a good book on chart statistics and charting for day to long term trades, I would not recommend for a beginner because you will get confused better suited for an intermediate or experience trader or investor who wants an overview of statistics and some trading and investment pointers. I also bought Fred McAllen's book " Charting and Technical Analysis" and I think his book is a much better beginner book I think this should be titled, advanced chart patterns. There is a lot of detail in this book and it is hard to pull the value out of all the Phd level statistical chart analysis. I don't think you need to understand chart theory in order to make use of charts. I want techniques not a course in statistics. Tell me how to apply what you just talked about to making money. I think the information could be distilled into a much simpler approach for the layman. I also bought Fred McAllen's book " Charting and Technical Analysis" and I think his book is a much better beginner b
